CALL FOR PAPERS
The International Conference on Swarm Intelligence (ICSI 2010)
- 12-15 June 2010
- Beijing, China
http://www.cil.pku.edu.cn/icsi2010
*****************************************************************
Swarm Intelligence is to study the collective behavior in a
decentralized system which is made up by a population of simple
individuals interacting locally with one another and with their
environment. Such systems are often be found in nature, including bird
flocking, ant colonies, particles in cloud, fish schooling, bacteria
foraging, animal herding, honey bees, spiders, and sharks, just to
name a few.
ICSI°Ø2010 will be held in Beijing, which is the capital of China and
is now one of the largest international cities in the world. As the
cultural, educational and high-tech centre of the nation, Beijing
possesses many world-class conference facilities, communication
infrastructures, and hotels, and has successfully hosted many
important international conferences and events like the 2008 Beijing
Olympic Games. In addition, Beijing has rich culture and historical
attractions such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer
Palace, and the Temple of Heaven. The participants of ICSI°Ø2010 can
also enjoy Peking operas, beautiful landscapes, and the hospitality of
the Chinese people, Chinese cuisine, and a modern China.
Important Dates:
- Submission Deadline - 15 January 2010
- Notification of Acceptance - 15 March 2010
- Final Camera-ready Due - 10 April 2010
Program Chairs:
- Yuhui Shi, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool Univ. China
- Kay Chen Tan,National Univ. of Singapore, Singapore
Specific topics of interest (including but not limited to)
Particle swarm optimization, ant colony swarms, cultural algorithms,
foraging techniques, genetic algorithms, genetic programming,
evolutionary programming, evolution strategy, classifier system,
differential evolution, estimation of distribution algorithm, co-
evolution algorithms, memetic algorithms, artificial immune system,
optimization techniques in dynamic, multi-objective, constrained
environments, numeric optimization, hybrid optimization methods, data
mining, pattern recognition, knowledge discovery, time series
analysis, financial market prediction, stock prediction,

Call for Papers and Special Session Proposals
Prospective authors are invited to contribute high-quality papers to
ICSI°Ø2010. All papers should be submitted electronically via Online
Paper Submission System (https://www.easychair.org/login.cgi?
conf=icsi2010). The format of the initial submissions must be PDF.
Enquiries on paper submissions can be addressed to the secretariat at
icsi2...@cis.pku.edu.cn.
In addition, ICSI°Ø2010 Program Committees solicit proposals for
special sessions within the technical scopes of the ICSI°Ø2010.
Special sessions, to be organized by internationally recognized
experts, aim to bring together researchers in special focused topics.
Researchers interested in organizing special sessions are invited to
submit formal proposals to the special sessions chairs of the ICSI
°Ø2010 or icsi2...@cis.pku.edu.cn for enquiries. Both theoretical and
practical papers are welcome.
Proceedings and Journal Publications:
Papers presented at ICSI°Ø2010 will be published in Springer Lecture
Notes in Computer Science (EI-indexed) and some high-quality papers
will be selected for publications on special issues of International
Journal of Swarm Intelligence Research (IJSIR) and several other SCI-
indexed journals.
Kind regards,
Ying Tan
